Built on the high-strength TNGA-F global body-on-frame platform (shared with the Tundra and Land Cruiser), it ditches the old V6 engine for a 2.4-liter turbocharged i-FORCE inline-four, offering vastly improved midrange torque and a modern, high-tech interior.

      • 8-Speed Automatic: Generates 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque.
      • 6-Speed Manual: An available intelligent manual transmission (iMT) pushes out 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.
      • i-FORCE MAX Hybrid (Available): Bumps total output to an impressive 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.
      • Fuel Economy: Averages roughly 1920 mpg city / 23 mpg highway depending on configuration.
      • Towing & Payload: Max towing capacity is rated up to 6,4006,500 lbs, with a maximum payload of up to 1,705 lbs

      • Suspension: Equipped with Bilstein monotube shocks featuring remote piggyback reservoirs to handle high-speed dirt running and crawling.
      • Articulation: Features an all-new multi-link rear coil suspension (replacing the old leaf springs) for a vastly superior ride quality. An optional front sway bar disconnect can be added to significantly increase front-wheel travel on uneven terrain.
      • Geometry: Boasts 11 inches of ground clearance along with a 32.5° approach angle, 24.7° breakover angle, and 22.2° departure angle.
      • Traction Control: Standard part-time 4WD with an electronically locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select (MTS), and an updated, quieter Crawl Control system.
